Lauren is 38 weeks. Fortunately, fluid levels have gone up slightly, to an AFI of 8. Unfortunately, Lauren is still only fingertip dialated and 50% effaced. Despite this, at the perinatal appointment, contractions are all over the monitor and Dr. Gerson, the perinatologist, is convinced Lauren will go into labor soon. All is set for next week's induction.
