I began to notice that I was having contractions, though none of them were painful, just fairly uncomfortable. I still felt fine as of dinner, though both Brian and I were daring to hope that maybe I was in early labor. Dinner went fine and I came back home feeling no more close to labor than I had that morning. But then things started to change a little, and the contractions were getting more and more uncomfortable. We started timing (Brian had been timing for days--probably for lack of anything else to do) and they were still that 8-9 minutes apart. I still figured nothing was happening.
But then at around 10, I felt like for some reason I ought to go to bed. As soon as I got in bed, however, that's when the real contractions started. And what was uncomfortable before now became quite painful! Still 8-9 minutes apart, but I wasn't a happy camper.
